Our teachers are attentive to queuing and make each class accessible and enjoyable no matter your experience. We know that every body is different so we hope that through exploration and repetition you can find your move. Our classes are for all levels, ages, genders and body types. We do our best to encourage modifications in order to suit your needs on any given day – as long as you’re moving with us.

Mover & Motivator

I started on this path as a ballerina for the Neubert ballet at Carnegie Hall and went on to join the school of American Ballet at the Lincoln Centre. After graduating with a degree in Exercise Science at Concordia University, I entered the fitness world and in the following 25 years, completed certifications in multiple advanced training techniques.

After tearing my Achilles tendon, it was crucial for me to create an exercise method that was safe, fun and effective. I’ve always loved introducing clients to my exercise science knowledge and the newest fitness genres. I fell in love with Barre on a trip to California and never looked back. After completing courses in Florida and New York City, I was the first to bring Barre to Montreal. The combination of my fitness background and the many years of experience in the fitness industry resulted in the “birth” of MBM.

ALLI

FEAR

Born and raised in Toronto, Alli moved to Halifax after high school to study International development and fell in love with yoga and meditation. In 2008, after completing her yoga training, she moved to Montreal to further her practice and expand her scope of teachings. Alli then studied Barre and MBM with Alissa and completed her Stott Pilates instruction. The combination of these 3 practices has helped broaden her knowledge of the body and shape her philosophy of movement. Her classes are energetic, motivating and playful and encourage students to form a relationship with their experience through movement, breath, stillness and meditation.
